The Palm Cottages, on the North Shore of Vieques Island in Bravos de Boston, comprises a residential compound that was formerly a church, its rectory, and several small out buildings. Located in the heart of the lovely Vieques Garden District, the cottages are surrounded by exceptional tropical gardens designed and maintained by the well-known Bravos Boyz, whose offices are also located in the old church building.  Bravos Boyz were awarded the prestigious "RATED EXCELLENCE FOR 2011" for property managers by Trip Advisor basically giving their golden seal for staying at a Bravos Boyz managed property.

The Vieques vacation rental compound includes two cottages, the Palm Cottage and the Pool Cottage, which share a beautifully landscaped, private pool with a dramatic fountain. The Palm Cottages whole compound is one of our favorite rentals and is very popular for larger groups needing four bedrooms with three bathrooms . The tropical oasis and grounds provide your own private sanctuary, and the locally known La Chata  beach is just steps down the North Shore Road where Bravos Boyz love to take a morning swim, comb for beach glass or watch the surfers catch a wave.

The Palm Cottage was originally the rectory and having been completly renovated is a sheik beach hideaway.  The Bravos Boyz used their signature polished concrete counters with concrete sinks fully integrated in both the kitchen and the bathroom.  Although we advertise the Palm Cottage as one bedroom there is a second full bedroom that opens to the living room.  The Palm cottage also has a private outdoor shower with your own blooming orchid and surrounding tropical jungle.  The Bravos Boyz design all of their properties with what they call a folly and the "Folly" of the Palm Cottage is a floor to ceiling screened room with beds and chairs for lounging.   The word used most often to describe this room is sexy!  The Palm Cottage does not have air conditioning but it sits high to take advanatage of the breezes and the sound of the nearby surf will lull you to sleep.  There is a living room and dining room all looking out to the tropical pool and fountains.

The Pool Cottage sits directly across the pool  from the Palm Cottage and was carved out of the stage of the sanctuary as well as church offices and bathrooms.  The Pool Cottage is offered fully air conditioned and with two bedrooms with two bathrooms en suite.  The signature polished concrete counters and sinks are again seen here stylishly simple yet elegant.  Both cottages offer acid stained concrete floors and our guests love strolling in and out of the cottages from the pool as the floors can take it all.  The Pool Cottage has an inside living room as well as an outside living room and outside pool side dining on our signature polished concrete table for six to eight.  One of the two bathrooms offers an outside shower.

 Both cottages offer high quality thread count bed linens as well as white fluffy towels and bright colorful beach towels.   The upholstered furniture is very comfortable as well as offering full package cable because watching a movie is relaxing, high speed wireless internet no further explanation needed and land line phones with free long distance to the United States just because!  Additionally, we offer you a washer and dryer and  beach chairs and coolers so that you can reasonably stay in a Bravos Boyz house only needing to bring flip flops, a sarong and a bathing suit.

One of the delights of the cottages are the many tropical plantings the first of which are 30 foot Puerto Rican Royal Palms that Thom planted from seed around 2003.  Additionally, there are Areca palms, Mac Arthur palms, Adorneidia palms, Figi Fan palms, Travelers palms, Coconut palms, philodendrums, orchids, scented Ylang Ylang and spider lilies, hibiscus, blooming bromeliads, bananas, pink, white, and red ginger, heliconias,  gardenias, bright crotons, various types of ferns, a water garden with blooming lotus flowers, herbs and many other surprises including  night sounds and visiting Iguanas.
